    Default Guys and Dolls - The Badger Edition

    I was out puttering in antique stores looking for a birthday gift for that hard-to-buy-for younger brother...darn pseudo-nomadic Coast Guardsman. Well, I couldn't find anything for him, but that's where I had my epiphany.

    When I purchased my best badger brush from Crabtree and Evelyn, I also picked up a brush stand ($6.00)...which was ok, but nothing to brag about. It always flattened the bristles on one side and it was just not tall enough for my tastes. Well, while I was in the antique store I saw a metal doll stand, which looked just about the right size and shape to hold a brush...

    Nice idea. Shaving brush handles almost seem to be dsigned to be held by a tool grip, so I'm surprised there aren't holders based around that design.

    Made it by folding some of that stiff mains cable.
