    Shower and Towel definitely! After the shower, put on Pre-Shave Oil, strop the razor THEN a HOT Towel, that is sitting in a bowl of HOT water. After that, I lather up and it's like a hot knife through butter. Without the towel, it just seems like it takes an extra pass, or maybe a little buffing action.

    The hot shower and a Hot Towel wrap go great together.

    Shower is all you ever need. I also don't think you need preshave oil either. Just my 2cents
