    Default I like heavier razors

    Hello gents...
Today, after shaving for the first time with my new razor, I found out that I like heavier razors...
For last two months I was shaving with a 11/16",9/14 gring razor and my shaves were superb, but it was always pulling a bit... The reason was maybe also a great jump between my 6k and CrOx, but I did the same jump today with my 7/8" 6/14 grind razor and shave was great...
I have a 9/16" 4/14 grind razor that still needs to be honed...
Will see how that one will shave...

Well if the razor was pulling even a bit your shaves were not superb.

But that's why they make em all sizes and grinds.

Yes I like the heavier sizes and grinds too. My beard i s so coarse that full hollow 5/8 is too thin and won't cut the way I want to.

    Exactly...
It is kind of embarrassing, but I don't have a fully developed beard yet, only mustache, sideburns all the way to the jawline, some whiskers on the cheeks and some spots under the neck, but my facial hair is very thick...
With a three day "beard" I look like a little boy who was playing too much with chocolate...
Today, the shave was like running a hot knife through butter...

If the razor pulled I guess it wasnt sharp enough... so you probably liked the razor that was sharpest..

I love the sound of a hollowground making the whiskers scream and beg for mercy..

    .... I would have to be more embarassed then .. I'm almost 35 and a 5 o'clock shadow takes about 3 days

    Well put

The sound of whiskers being decimated by a sharp hollow-ground straight was one of the most disquieting things about my first straight shave. I kept thinking "Is that right?! Is it supposed to be that loud? Naw, that can't be right!" It's right.
