    Default Sunburn + straight..

What do you guys do when on holidays? Was in turkey last year, naturally got my face burned and that evening tried to shave with a straight razor before going out....after about a stroke and a half i gave up...
    Any interesting experiences?

I don't shave with a sunburn, period. I wouldn't even try to lather with a sunburn. Unless it was with MWF, in which case my burn would be healed, and perhaps ten years taken off my age.

It has never stopped me, but I probably spend more of my time in extreme outdoor conditions than most of the people here, so my face is probably much less sensitive.

Try aloe gel. I have used the gel instead of cream several times when I ran out and it works fine.

Take a few days off the shave and moisturise with aloe like a mad man.

I think I heard somewhere that the skin responds as a single organ so keeping the whole of you, not just the burnt bits, out of direct sunlight should help to minimise continued irritation.

I've never had a problem with sun-burn and shaving, but then again I haven't gotten a bad burn on my face for a while.

With a healing sunburn, the most important thing to remember is to hydrate a lot, since your face is very dry and sensitive after the burn. So if it's not too sensitive to shave, then just make sure to be generous with the aftershave and cream afterwards. And aloe (mentioned above a few times) does work wonders.
