    Default Back at it again!

A few months back I was honing all four of my straights, and using my off hand thumb to rub the glue residue from the spine which was left over from the electrical tape, when the razor kind of bounced and cut a divet off the side of my thumb. I became a little gun shy after that & used safety razors exclusively for awhile.

Anyway, I've just gone through my straight rotation again, and the good news is, that all of them are shave ready and I have gotten excellent shaves from all four straights! Yay! Back to the closeness and non-irritation of straights! I am a happy man!

Good to have you back, Dennis.

They are sharp, and have a tendency to remind us of it, every once in a while, don't they?
As a passionate woodworker, I' ve heard a story of a fellow woodworker that cut the first digit of one of his fingers with a table saw. It took him nearly a year to get back into his woodshop, wipe off the blood and take up his hobby again.
But eventually, as they say in Dutch "blood crawls where it cannot walk", which means that it's no use to stay away from something if you're truly passionate about it.

    All the best,

    Bart.
