My guess would be that it didn't sink in because your lip is soft and absorbed the impact.

Me, I wouldn't put much confidence in the LT after 12k and CrO. His blade should ideally pass the LT right off the 4k. The 12k and paste just makes for a more comfortable slashing of the lip.

Hadn't cehcked this thread in a while....Lip test! What a riot! I shave with that razor at least a few days a week. I treat it with a whole new respect after that. She reminded me, that if I don't pay enough attention to her, she'll make me pay.

... reminds me of a great 3 Stooges clip where Curly is "shaving some ice" - complete with towels, shave cream and a straight razor ... and he says "Were you wearing a pink tie ? No? .. Well here's your lip."

Now I put something on before I pick up the razor. Glad you're okay.

I have to admit, I still shave naked on a hot day. Yes, it makes me nerveous. I know I'm taking an awful chance of dropping it and doing irreparable damage to my razor.

You lucked out 'big time".

You know, now I think about it, I've put a few years in an ER and not once did I ever see a straight razor injury! I'd take a lac from a straight any day because they would approximate so well... but never got one.
