Default Shaving on the Moon !!!

So you are offered a 2 year contract to work on the Moon but you are only allowed one Straight Razor because of weight restrictions. You are allowed 2 brushes, a strop and a lunch box full of soaps and creams. They have found a mountain close by made of pure razor quality Coticle so honing is covered. What would be the razor you would take with you? My choice is my 6/8" W&B by Traveler.

I like my DOVO 5/8 Bismarck Spike point in bone. It is such a smooth shaver.

I lvoe the creative take on the "IF you could only have one razor" thread!

I would also take a Traveller razor. 9/8 Greaves wedge. Take THAT weight restrictions! I could tkae three dovos for the same weight!

I'd take the biggest meat chopper I have -- currently a custom RW 8/8 wedge with Spanish Point. The reason is for honing. We are normally reminded that final polishing / honing (on earth) should use no more than the weight of the blade. On the moon, you'd have the opposite problem. You'd need to create a little extra downward force to counter the lower level of gravity. So I'd go for the heaviest blade and hope this goes some way to making up for gravity.

(WTF am I doing, talking about this as though it's real??!?)

Little strokes are what you take

I hope my blades don't break

    We could strop forever

    We could hone together

It's a trick question. You can't grow whiskers on the moon because there's no gravity to pull them out

None. The moon has no water and you didn't say I could take any with me.

I have no reason to shave on the moon, but I would take the King Tut razor (if I could procure it) for the sake of history

Hm, the Wapi has the best look for the space age. My favorite shaver is prolly my Lather Well, Shave Well, though I am quite fond of my new Greaves as well. All I know for sure is it would be in the 5/8 to 6/8 range. I really love larger blades, but not as daily shavers.

I don't know Lee. Traveller is holding on to that razor pretty tight these days.
