Thread: I LOVE SHAVING

I love shaving. When I was 14, I loved sneaking my father's DE and shaving off the peach fuzz. When my brother gave me a Gillette Techmatic for my 15th birthday (anyone remember those?) and my sister gave me a bottle of Wild Country after shave because she wanted the horse-head bottle when it was empty, I sometimes shaved twice a day (though once a week would have sufficed then.) When disposables and single-edged razors came around, shaving wasn't as much fun. During my brief foray into using an electric, I felt a deep loss. I soon lost the electric. When I started using a straight a little over a year ago, the thrill of shaving came back. I love shaving with a straight. The stropping. The soap. The brush. The lathering. The ATG. The blood -- OK, now I'm getting carried away. I love shaving. Thanks, guys. I just had to say this to someone who wouldn't try to have me locked up where, YIKES!!! They wouldn't let me have a razor!!!

At the age of 14, I already had a tough, black beard, and I was using a DE, with a cheap brush, and Noxzema lather cream that Daddy bought for me. The only time I hated shaving was when I was serving in the Israeli army, because I had no time for the pleasure of the brush, DE, and good soap or cream. Since then, I'm back to loving every shave of every day.
