Default Small Microwave for Hot Towels

So the iwave folks are back but limping after sharper image and linens and things they were contracted with went under. However their new version is even more ridiculously expensive but sports 800watts instead of 600 and the same small foot print.

Maybe I'll have enough saved up for such toys to outfit the shave den by their expected last special order run in August.

    iWave cube 2.0

Has anyone tried a micro hot towel out of a 800watt? pretty low wattage these days.... what does Glen's small one run?
(Ok yes this is a shameless plug in hopes they'll limp along for long enough that I might be able to order one myself)

I have 1000 plus micro and I usually hit the towel for 1.5 min and boy is it hot.

OK I am sitting here at work using a ruler trying to figure out how much smaller that one is then mine

    I think mine is like 14w x12h x 14d
It was the smallest one they had at Wally World that night
I think it is either 600 or 800 watts
I know I have it turned down to about 75% power so that the towels come out exactly like I love them at 1 minute

But it was waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy cheaper at like $34.88

And I got the wife "Look" when I put it in the shave den at that price

14 square inches of space saved for 115$ price differential ok lets even call it 100 price differential with the cost of a nice can of primer and metalic spray paint....

I suppose the rents are not high enough to justify that where I am perhaps in NYC

although at 10"D it would fit on the back of the toilet next to the sink...

    Default Towel steamer

I picked up a small towel steamer on ebay, about the size of Glens microwave. $50.00. It is large enough inside to put my scuttle, and two hand towels, dampened. It is set on a timer, that allows it to come on about 1 hour before my shave. I find an incredibly warmed scuttle, and towels that are just right. It has taken my shaves to a new level. Amazing!

You know; I simply take the old tea kettle up to the bathroom before my shower and cool it down a bit. I could just emagine all the crap my kids would put in it if they could reach it.
