Serves me right. I stowed my Norelco multi-mega-supersonic whirl (I think that was the actual model name IIRC) electric razor in a drawer almost two years ago after shaving daily with a straight all that time.

I was running very late last week and needed to get rid of obvious stubble within a few minutes. I grabbed that electric and it had enough juice in it to barely grind down the whiskers before it died wanting a recharge. Days later I still feel as though I took coarse grit sandpaper to my jawline. I even used skin stretching a la straight shaving to minimize skin chewing.

I like my straight razors better.
