    Default The Chopping Block

Ooooh how i miss the days when i would nic my face up and grab the styptic pencil.

I never nic myself anymore....no. In fact i get pretty good shaves now.

I do seem to have one problem that is really ****ing me off though....

Anymore it seems like i have a 75% chance to cut myself. Usually i dont even feel it. It just shows up on my face 40 minutes later. I'm not really sure what to change in my technique.

Has anyone else gone through periods where they turn their face into a chopping block?

    /Neosporin for the win.

Usually happens with a spike. Or when I go too deep/close to the ear.

It is probably an angle thing, unless you look like Van Gogh after I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I have one spot at the base of my neck, just to left of the throat (my left), there's even a scar there. for some reason I occasionally get the angle a bit wrong and catch a bit there. never really painful either, but leaves usually a 1/2" slice. very shallow.

What shows 40 minutes later? A red line or does it start bleeding?
I've never noticed anything like that, maybe I'm not paying attention? I rub an alum block over my face every shave. Between that and a cold water splash I think it sorts that kind of thing out.

Watch your angles and ease up on the pressure!
