Thanked: 235Holiday coming to a close. Going home to my razors
While I have been on holiday here in Australia I have been relying on a DE. But in four more days I will be arriving back home in Bangkok and one of the first things I want to do after unpacking and spending some alone time with my wife is to break out my straights. I'm really looking forward to once again practicing the art of real shaving.
While I have been here I have been endulging my RAD and I also discovered I have SSAD (shaving soap aquisition dissorder) and SCAD (shaving cream aquisition dissorder). I have an armful of Crabtree & Evelyn, prorasso, and many assorted home made soaps to try. One of my discoveries here was a shaving cream called Barbers Special Shaving Cream. It is made by a company called Turnleys. (A company that sells barbers equipment). If you can find this stuff I highly recomend it. If you do get to try Barbers Special Shaving Cream you will understand what means.
Also while endulging my RAD I was lucky enough to find a Turnleys razor, so I have a matching pair.
This holiday has also been all about endulging my RAD, which my family has been enabling me, taking me on shopping trips to antique stores. I now have 21 razors in various states of repair which I will be restoring for many years to come. I'll be adding some photos of my finds soon.
Thankyou everyone here for getting my hooked on this obsession.
