Default Pictures of best way to hold razor shaving against the grain

I would love to see some pictures from you folks of the best ways you have found for holding the razor when shaving against the grain, or shaving the neck area up towards the jaw.

I think I pretty much use the grip in the lower photograph here:

.... ALTHOUGH, The hairs on my throat sort of swirl a bit, so I also use the grip in the picture just above that one, the first pic

I just stand on my head next to the sink and shave as if I am shaving with the grain.

    Default Alternate grips ....

Shaving with a straight requires some dexterity, AND the use fo some alternate grips at times, depending on your facial contours.

For shaving the neck area, against the grain toward the jawline, I switch to holding the blade on the SIDES of the tang, rather than the top and bottom where the file jimps are. Sometimes, for particularly sutbborn areas, I will actually hold the sides of the back-end of the blade itself.

NOTE: When I do shave the neck this way, OR use any alternate grip, I make SURE that I am using the least amount of grip pressure possible without dropping the razor! Prevents the bloodfests ........

    Hope this made some sense!

    Good luck!
