    Default Two little words

    Shave Talc!!

Anyone use this stuff. If you find it use it.

I use it after the alum pass and before the A/S.

It drys the skin and masks any irritation and sooths the face. It also cuts down on the shine and just plain makes the face smoother.

    IMHO, it can't be beat.

Shave talc is nice. i remember it from barbers using it after hair cuts and shaves. i do not use it or baby powder too often though. But i do have some casswell massey talc that is nice but i noticed that SRD carries clubman shave talc and some other talcs.

I used some normal talc today, just trying something different. After the alum block and cold rinse I splashed on some alcohol aftershave (I don't normally) then patted on some talc using a towel. Felt remarkably good. Not sure it's better or worse than my usual Nivea balm, it's just different.

I didn't know there was actual shaving talc, I'll have to keep an eye out for some.

What's the name of the talc and where do you find it? I'm big on the Nivea too Raj.

A local chemist to me sells shaving talc. I'll find out how much it is and what it is called.

I assume there are different brands, probably not radically different from each other or from normal talc. I picked up a can of Pinaud Clubman talc, since I like their aftershave.

Just use it judiciously guys. Its powdered rock and not good to get in your lugs.
