    Default Nicks R Me today

After 3 weeks I nicked myself today, not once, not twice but three times. Well actually 2 nicks and a small slice under the chin.
I am trying to think what I did differently but I do not remember doing anything differently than I have been over the past three weeks.

On the plus side I finally got the chin area shaved well, almost BBS.

I have to work on the neck area. I have two problem areas where I am having trouble clearing the stubble.

    Hey Jim,

Being in your boat, so to speak, after a month I am still getting one-two nicks per shave but they are most often due to some skin irregularities (blemishes, freckles, etc). I think the large part of it is just that my skin is not used to being so drastically exfoliated every other day. I'm still adjusting. I shaved yesterday evening and probably won't go again until tomorrow evening, but today my face feels good enough to go again tonight. A week or two ago, I would have felt a little sore and in need of a recovery day.

I'm looking forward to seeing what happens over the next month, as I really think I'm getting good at this. I'm sure you feel the same.

    Take it easy,

    Ogie

    Jim

I just had a similiar experience only for me it took 3 months before I got my first nick, and actually it was more like a 3/4" slice on my cheek , then a week few days later I did the same thing on my other cheek. It seems that I have gotten very comfortable with my razor and Im not as carefull as I was when I was learning. Im also shaving faster than I did when I started out a few months ago. I need to get back to basics , slow back down and focus on what Im doing.

Jim , the neck seems to be one of the harder places to shave, Im really not sure what way the hair grows from neck , seems like I can shave in every direction and yet still feel some stubble, but it is definitly getting better for me each time I shave. I think it just takes time for you to figure it out, I notice if I strech the skin on my neck I can get it closer.

Did you change up your soap/cream? How was the lather? I find that most of my nicks come from poor lather, or poor performing cream/soap.
