Thanked: 11No going back
It's been a while so I thought I'd jot down the latest developments in Moggs' shaving world. I've promoted myself from Newbie to accomplished shaver (that's the beauty of this forum!)
My shaving armoury now consists of six razors (including a Kropp restoration that I crafted with my own fair hands ), three Shaptons, 4k, 8k and 16k, used to good effect and HHT success; a horsehide and linen strop from Tony that is too good to use, such is it's quality (though of course, it is used daily) and my latest acquisition, a h u g e scuttle from Schwarzweisskeramik.
Yesterday's parcel delivery included some Truefitt and Hill samples of Grafton, 1805, Trafalgar, Spanish Leather, West Indian Limes, Freshman and Clubman colognes and a pot each of Grafton and West Indian Limes cream.
This morning's shaving experience was a pleasure indeed. The preparation and application of heaps of fragrant hot T&F Grafton lather, whipped up with a Muhle silver-tip in a hand-crafted scuttle, followed by the deft cutting strokes from a precision, self-honed length of horsehide-stropped Sheffield steel, all rounded off by a tingling splash of best cologne...
I've got it bad haven't I?

Thanked: 11I had to stop myself from shaving in the morning for a while as I was tending to rush things. I enjoy every moment - my idea of rushing now is that I might dispense with the hot towel treatment.
