I just picked up a Giesen & Forstoff, "Adoration De Luxe", which is made in Germany, and I am very impressed by the smooth shave i recieved from it! Any of you guy's seen or shaved with this one? has clear lucite scales and the #999 stamped on the tang?

I know it' s not a custom, but my EDACO 6/8 round point (see the razor database), is my best blade so far. It's not my first one, and there are some blades, waiting for "resurrection", so it might be change.

Thanked: 402Couldn't help but voting for a German.
My first, cheapest, rustiest and now covertest with pitses old Hammesfahr.
Its the feel, not even the shave as you might guess.
When I have it in my hands, it just feels ALLRIGHT.
The size, the balance, the proportion, the way it closes... simply trusty.

Thanked: 171Custom ought to be it's own option, no?
Anyway, it's sheffield for me, for now. Will probably change as new razors are acquired

This was a tough choice for me between Germany and England. I love my Dorkos but I have a W&B with custom scales that also really rocks.

Thanked: 335I'm teetering upon the horns of dilemma. For a desert isle I'd pick my SS 7/8 Friodur, rust resistant for that salty air clime and one slick shaver. If I had to use only one razor in the comfortable convenience of my own bathroom, I'd have to pick a Le Grelot 1/4 hollow, an awesome razor with a shoulderless grind.
France won, but it was almost too close to call.
