First wet shave!!!!
After reading a few threads about guys shaving their SO's legs I got to wondering whats the deal w/the wet shave. I couldn't stand it anymore and had to try it. Hubby and I don't have a SR in shaving condition in the house. I do however have a SE antique Ever-Ready that I cleaned up really well a few days ago. I asked him if he would help me w/the lather and he grinned and told me to grab my stuff. So I gather my boar brush, mug and puck.
While I use the hot towel he explains the lather process. I remembered the advice I read in the other posts about lathering in quarters. So with that in mind I dive in. Hubby tried to shave for me but the angle was wrong so I took over. It was really easy and fun. I'm sure a SR will give much more enjoyment, this however was wonderful. No nicks or cuts. only a few odd scratches
His honing blocks well be here tomorrow and he has picked out a SR from our antique mall finds for me. Once it is ready I get to shave for real.
That is if I don't swipe the Dovo I got him a few weeks ago.

Congrats! . Sounds like you did really well. I still have JoeD do my lather most of the time as he is so much better at it but I am getting good at using shaving cream to build lather. I hope you have a great first shave with your own straight soon. Which one did you get??

Thanked: 402LOL I knew it when I read your question for hubby presents.
Not for long and you'll be into it yourself - but you were even faster.
Great start!

I am rally excited about it and can't wait!!!
I learned last night how to KILL a cream lather really well. I added too much water....oops. Looks like he will be doing that part for me as well.
He kept telling me to make sure I have lather on a section before I put the razor to it. I didn't use anything w/a disposable so this was really hard for me to remember. He told me I will remember really fast w/a SR hahaha

Congratulations!!!!
Looks like Mr M has very good taste in razors, the Torey is gorgeous. Don't worry about the lather either, it just takes practice. Spike was making my lather for about 2 months after I first started, but I've been making my own since.
