Thank you all. I've spent 4 hours (in 3 days) stroping and got wonderful razor.
The only side effect I've removed some gold from the back of the razor

That is a beautiful razor. +1 on trying not to worry about the gold wash--
if you decide to polish the razor now and then with something like maas, it will also tend to remove the gold (I like a shiny clean razor without the gold vs. a dingy razor with the gold...).
