Razor Blade Kisses and Hollow Ground Dreams
Last night I dreamed that I had my first straight razor shave as if I was really doing it. The hot towel; lather; stropping--the whole bit.
I'm very pleased to announce that I did not cut myself once. Just a swift, super close shave.

I've got to get myself a razor soon.

I'd say you need to take care of that in the waking world. Your brain is trying to tell you something. If you're not careful, you'll go crazy (like so many here) and start "collecting" and "sampling" before you have a chance to learn how to shave! ink:

Thanked: 17Dreams ....
You actually HAD that first shave, but in the SRP parallel universe!
Actually, that sort of visualization can be very helpful! I have used visualization, and yes, even positive dreams during high-level competitions in a couple of sports.
No difference in shaving! I begin to visualize, and think-through a nice, enjoyable, clean, nick-free shave when I am driving home in the evening. I prepare everything in advance (like I would during serious cooking!) and make sure the rest of the household is put on notice.
Then, I enter the bath, and begin the ritual. I bask in it. When I am finished, it could be as little as 10 - 15 minutes, or as long as two hours, if I am playing with more than one razor.
I find that the prior visualization helps prepare my mind and body for success! Helps in many areas!
