Default Thanks to Kelly aka nun2sharp

I just got back into town after a couple weeks out and there was a box with two honed razors waiting for me. I had sent them off to Kelly just before I left, and was looking forward to trying them out. My wife said they were back on our doorstep about a week after I sent them out, and that included the 4th of July holiday weekend, so I was already pretty impressed with the turnaround time.

I've gotten razors shave-ready before, but for some reason I couldn't get my Torrey into shape. I also sent a Palmer 21 that I used to shave with but haven't used in some time.

So I open the box up, and there's a handwritten note of what condition the edges were in when he received them, and what he had to do to make them shave ready. (Apparently my Torrey had some corrosion on the edge that I couldn't see, which is why I couldn't ever get it shave ready.)

This morning I lathered up and used the Torrey for the first pass and the Palmer 21 for the second. There were no nicks, no fighting with the razor, no missed hairs- everything was smooth like it should be. I experienced a little bit of burn, but I'm pretty sure that was my fault.

Anyways, thanks to Kelly (nun2sharp)a for an excellent shave this morning!

Good riddance! That razor was a fantastic example of "rotten" steel that looked perfectly normal. I still can't use a Torrey because of that razor.
