That's only some of the ones listed on ebay right now.

To make your life easier when it comes to searching for barber hones on ebay, it's important to remember that they are NOT barber hones. We call them barber hones to differentiate them from "modern" hones.

The reality, is that they were almost all marketed as "razor hones" and were a common household item. Any man of even modest income who shaved regularly before the advent of saftey razors had one.

Millions, if not tens of millions were produced, and they are on ebay all the time.

Aahh, so "barber hones" are not the same as "barber hones"!

I did this a few years ago. Biggest problem I found was boredom, I was using the same razor every day to make it easier to keep track of the # of shaves. More stropping was definitely the key, esp on the linen side. Anyway I wound up with a few razors with 120-150 shaves on them and still going strong. I really don't know what my upper limit might be - my boredom eventually overcame my curiosity.

I think this also has to do with your beard. Some people have coarser hair than others, which will wear down a blade faster.

After 20-30,I like to give it a dozen strokes on the Spyderco UF. Not sure it needs it, but I think it does a better job.

Ok guys i have done 15 shaves with my Ti .
    This is what happen.
razor was shave ready and i am not stropping guy. i don't like strop more then 20 laps.
while i use only TI for shave number of shaves goes high and i ended up using more laps to strop. after 14 shave i made 40 laps and razor come up it is original sharpness. i am sure i can continue to shave with TI but it is makes me dead bored.
Conclusion if your blade honed properly you can shave at least 3-6 months without honing again.
    hope this helps.
