I have been fielding a growing number of questions from members wanting to try out wedges for the smoothness. Now for old fart honers like myself that have no problem honing an old wedge, lots of older wedges present problems for many. Also the possibility of degrading a wedge edge IMHO is generally more of a problem than a full hollow for less experienced sharpeners and shavers.
Can we get some vendors to suggest some current models available that are for lack of terms more accurately made than the older wedges? Just think how sad it would be for new commers to come to this sport not to enjoy a wedge cause they could not keep it sharp.
