Thanked: 2209Your correct,and nailed the problem. The barbers were not effectively sterilizing the razor after the shave & before stropping. IIRC, alcohol is not effective in killing the hepatitis bacteria. The most effective stuff is Barbercide/Clippercide and takes awhile.

Out here in Cali, it's the same general consensus in regard to hygiene, but I know of a shop around here where you can buy an annual 'membership' and they'll reserve a mug, badger brush and SR in their shop solely for you. All precautions are taken to disinfect and maintain your shave set.
