Default Should I Oil The Cutting Edge Of The Razor?

I know i'm supposed to oil the rest of the blade, but I don't know if i'm supposed to oil the actual cutting edge.

I don't think that it is necessary to oil it at all, if you use it every day and let it air dry. If I were to oil my blade I would definitly oil the edge since that is the part I'm using to cut with, I would want it to be rust free.

I always strop after the shave for 20 or 30 round trips and then wipe the blade with a silicone gun cloth impregnated with a rust preventative and then put the razor in a drawer. I kind of stay away from the cutting edge when I wipe it figuring that the stropping will have gotten any moisture or micro gunk out of the edge. YMMV.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
