Default Does shaving cream wipe off pre-shave oil?

Like if I put some pre-shave oil on my wet face then use my badger hair brush and apply shaving cream, will the shaving cream wipe off the oil? Also, after I shave, will the oil still be on my face? If so, how do I get it off?

Shaving cream is a soap and a soap always removes oil.

Pre-shave oil acts as yet another buffer, particularly against aggressive DE blades. Its intent was to be used with hot lather machines in barbershops. After barbers went to disposable straights there was a need for this type of buffer.

Pre Shave Oil makes for a more stable lather when the soap is not perfect and it acts as a buffer when its too harsh. Otherwise it would saponify you!

I would think the oil basically lubricates the skin and unless you really scrub the soap on the lather won't take the oil off. I know the few times I tried it after I finished shaving and the lather was off there was still oil on my face.
