Thread: Comeback win

My last shave was miserable.

I had a nice shave 24 hours prior to it, and was pressed for time, so I tried going for a single one-pass ATG shave....



Not good.




There was not much stubble there, but there's a definite reason why the 3 pass shave was created!


So, this morning, 36 hours after that last shave debacle, I pull out my Tuckmar stainless and Trumper's rose. I take my time, light pressure, let each pass do it's job.......

Felt so good, especially after the previous shave being so bad.

Tingle mostly, not much burn to the alum, which is a good sign of a nice shave. And my skin is still feeling soft, and smooth.

I'm very glad to hear that you get those too! I had one last week. Makes you appreciate things when you do it properly!

I must agree with you on the three-pass shave. One or two passes do not work for me either. So three passes it is, with some touch up at the end.

Nice one! that sounds like a very nice shave

I agree on 2 points, taking the time (which is half the fun yeah?) and letting the razor do the work, I just had a lousy shave! which makes 2 on the trot, had to leave 48hrs because the last one left me sore, and tonight I tried a new to me Rolls Razor, did my wtg pass with it but it wasnt quite sharp enough, so switched to my str8 for xtg and atg, ouch! that 1st pass is crucial, I should have gone wtg again with the str8!!!
oh well its only sore for a few hrs right? ..lol
