Water rinse for me
I don't mind a wet blade, after all, it is a wet shave. I do however, make sure my razor is completely dry after the shave.

I started out rinsing, but now us a towel; mainly so I can see if my third pass experiments are working.

Thanked: 1I just use a barber towel from classic shaving. Wipe it like I do when I strop, spine leading.

Double Duty
I do both! I use the hot water to wash away the wiskers (and minor cream build up from the Lush Ambrosia) which is something I thought I would never do before I actually used the straight. Once it was actually in my hand it seemed natural and normal and not nearly as dangerous as I'd imagined. and as the shave wears on a little, the blade seems to hold a little particulate matter (my face?) so it benefits from a wipe after the rinse. I also snap the towel over the tub after shaving to got rid of the micro bits. This keeps the towel clean enough for a successive use or two before washing.

I actually use an old folded up cloth diaper. It gives new meaning to " Smooth as a baby's bottom" lol

Thanked: 17Do both
But mostly I wipe, on the same towel I used to heat and soak my face. I bought a dozen facecloths at Target, and fold it in half twice before I begin to shave, after using it to soak the whiskers.
I wipe on the inside edge of the sink fold, spine leading.
I rinse at the end, or if I didn't get it all off on the towel, and to clean the blade. I dry it very thoroughly afterwards.

I guess I'm somewhat the oddball here...
I LIGHTLY wipe the blade with my index finger, traversing the blade diagonally from hinge/spine toward tip/edge. I never really touch the edge, so there's no danger of deforming it, and the diagonal motion keeps me from slicing a sliver of skin from the finger. I flick the bulk of the soap from my finger into the sink and then wipe my finger on a folded dry washcloth kept on the counter (which I later wet and use to wash off any soap remaining on my face when done).
I started out wiping the razor on the washcloth, and I also tried rinsing the razor under running hot water, but got nervous about getting spastic and nicking the edge after reading an account or two of that happening. This way, the worst that happens is I cut my finger.
