Thanked: 2Vintagesent price hike
Anyone else notice the price increase with the Semogue brushes? I was sure they have gone up recently... Anyone know why? Anything new? Significant increase as I paid AU$66 for the Semogue2015HD and now its about AU$117.

Thanked: 137I've got the regular 2015, and I'm buggered if I know how you could pack more bristles into it. It's a really nice brush though, and I'm sure you'll like the HD version as much as I do the regular one.
I don't know anything about the price increase, but I'm sure Leon'll be along to clear things up at some point soon.

I have been many times about to pull the trigger on a 2015 HD, and now of course is 50% or so more expensive!! Why, oh why?? (although one of the few times it really happens what I always tell my wife to buy something: "Honey, it is a very good price, will be a lot more expensive if I do not buy it now!!")

Hi folks,
I certainly can explain further the reasons that lead me to this decision.
Raising prices is always an unpopular task, I know, I've thought about it a long time.
The current price raise was decided by me along several worldwide vendors and was approved by the factory.
The previous prices were so low, practically at factory price, that no other vendor from other countries would ever sell the brushes at the same price I did. I've been contacted by several vendors from across the globe asking me to start selling these great brushes too, but after setting the shipping costs, and additional taxes, they would be very far from my prices. So,we decided to level the prices, otherwise I would have the monopoly of Semogue and that's not fair to other vendors, don't you agree?

No, I don't agree...
Sounds like you are willing to sacrafice some sales for the lure of more profit on other sales ...
If you can offer a GREAT price AND beat the compition, why not?
Just my .02 (at the lower dollar level, of course)

Thanked: 416Gents we frown upon discussions of price or anything close to vendor slamming in the open forums. If you want to inquire as to price increases or quality or any other vendor related issues you should do this in private with the vendor by pm or email. I am closing this thread and if you have any other issues please take it up with the vendor in private.
