Thread: Love it.

I LOVE shaving...that's all I wanted to say. That and this - I've been at it for about 3 months and I've found the cream combo that works for my skin, I have a great blade, I have a great place to shave, I no longer get razor burn, I get a BBS shave each time, I've met some great people, and I'm looking forward to acquiring stones in the near future so I can learn to hone. I'm in hog heaven.

I've been watching some of the recent newbie posts and always the first line of advice is to watch the videos and read all the articles. I couldn't agree more. I did this for weeks before I even owned a razor and felt like I could do it in my sleep (although I'm MUCH better at it than when I started!). That's how good this site is! You guys are great.

Videos are great, but I'm more of a "get my hands dirty" kind of guy. I didn't watch any videos and for the longest time had no interest in switching to a straight from my DEs. Then I found a great deal on a straight, and some guys that were willing to PIF some razors, so I just couldn't pass up the chance to try it.

Of course by the time I got the razors I was way too impatient to bother with videos. Luckily using a DE gave me healthy respect for a sharp edge, and I have only had minor nicks with no real cuts.
