Thread: Using cold water instead of warm

I think it's mostly directed at teaching the young man to look his finest in the rough. IE; a march for a soldier where they haven't the convienence of hot water or a mirror but are still required to be presentable. I could be mistaken, however.

Along those lines, it would seem if you can get a good shave under less than ideal circumstances, you'll be a better shaver for it. Not to mention you would never take conveniences, like mirrors, for granted ever again.
