    Default Turkish flame treatment

I have been watching a few shaving videos on YouTube and 2 show that the Turkish barber finishes the job with a little torch. Why is that?

It's a good way to eliminate ear hair. I use a Q-Tip soaked in alcohol. Do quick dabs & you won't get burned. I prefer to do it before showering so the shower washes off the singed hair smell.

Uncle Jethro has been doing that for years. But he say's those guys are sissys. He uses an atomic-hydrogen Torch.

That's why he is flogging your Zowdas: after such treatment you never have to shave again.

Seriously? Or are you having us on?

Gotta say, I hate the inevitable forest sprouting from the ears look, yet shaving the ear lobes is unappealing. Stubble on the lobes? Blech!

And plucking what protrudes from the ear holes? Inefficient, ineffective, time consuming, frustrating....

I've actually tried to singe myself with a match, but can't really do too much before the heat becomes intolerable.

So, if you're serious about alcohol and q-tips...

I'm kind of the unadventurous type. You know, the guy who's always wondered whether f@rts really are flammable, but too cautious to risk 3rd degree burns to the intestines.

They are (1st hand experience) and they don't leave burns.

    Fire... ouch !
Now ask yourself what you would do if you lit up your hair and you looked like a torch?
Perhaps with a running shower handy or a WET towel handy.

If you still have a soaking wet head from the shower... hmm might work.

Agreed. Light away. Eat a bunch of raw garlic, a lot of fiber and about a half a dozen hard boiled eggs first.

We did the test after chili con carne with lots of garlic, onions and booze in my younger years.

Oooh, yes, I forget to add beer to my list of suggested consumables above. After twenty years time since experimenting this way the memory is selective.
