    Default Odd Shaving results?

I honed my 7/8 wedge over the weekend. I have shaved with it twice since. Both times my Chin, cheeks, left, and right side of my neck are coming clean with no razor burn or pull. The right side is my weak side so it is not completely clean but normal clean if that makes sense.

My neck from the point where the chin curves up to the adam's apple remains untouched. I have tried adjusting the angle, WTG, ATG, XTG. Warm water, cold water, relather. Nothing seems to work so I break out my Schick to finish up.

It is almost as it the razor does not want to cut those particular whiskers.

    I am confused.

That is interesting. The tip of my chin and the area of the neck on either side of my windpipe are the most difficult for me. I found that pulling my skin to the right of my windpipe will allow me to get the left side and vice versa for the other side. Sounds like a technique/angle issue since you're getting your chin with the razor as is.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have that same issue/resolution for the area on either side of my windpipe.

There is a spot under my chin where my normal skin stretch causes some whiskers to lay flat almost as if they are being sucked into the skin. I pass the razor over and let go of the skin and some the hairs stand back up (and I think I hear them laughing at me).

Dunno if you stretch the same direction for every pass but it could be something to check. I tried stretching a different direction on my second pass, seems to help.

Yah, you may need to stretch some skin. Pull your throat skin to the side a see if that helps. Also, it may be that the part of the razor you are using there is not sharp, maybe try using the toe or heel part of the edge, as I assume you use the middle portion for that part of your neck.

use small short scything strokes- might help. The thing is the angles are hard to hit right in that area.

Thanks guys. I know the edge is sharp all across the edge. I'll try stretching more. Maybe change my soap?

My other razors have no problem with this area. 1/2 Hollow Full hollow doesn't matter.
