I have 3 5/8s right now. I've got a 6/8 coming to me any day now. I have a somewhat heavy beard. I think RT had indicated that, for him, a 6/8 is the way to go. I'm hoping that the shave improves with my new 6/8. Of course, I get great shaves from my 5/8s. I just want to put a little variety in my stock.
And I thought straight razor shaving was supposed to SAVE you money... LOL

$2/cartridge
Is why I thought I'd make the transition to straight razor shaving. I'm justifying the cost right now as it costs more up front to stock up and become a straight razor shaver, but the cost over the long haul will be significantly reduced. At least that's what I'm hoping for. But, in any event, I have decided that I will be a straight razor shaver from here on out. I really enjoy it.

Hey, I just noticed that this is my 100th post! Rest easy fellow SRP members, I don't expect the same kind of recognition/acknowledgement that T.O. expected for catching his 100th career TD pass. I won't react by saying we all would be better shavers if our razors were Mach3s...'cuz I know that ain't the truth!!
Just someone send me a Dubl Duck Wonderedge, that's all...LOL

More proof that...
the good things in life are not always free! Contrary to what women say...LOL
Every penny I've spent on this obsession has been worth it.

Ooooops!
I hereby amend my quote to read "....Contrary to what SOME women say...LOL"
I certainly didn't intend to offend any women who are straight razor shavers.

No, kidding!
I'm 6 Franklins into this "obsession" already and I've only been at it only 3 months. I'm sure I'll let go of a few more before all is said and done when I find the happy median on razor ownership. Then I watch Lynn's video and see the arsenal he's got in his lab....Whoa!!!
It is, however, much cheaper than my previous "hobby"....watches!! It won't be long before I start selling pieces of my watch collection to fund razor purchases. Let's see....razors, or watches...
