Thanked: 3Jojoba
Dear Gentlemen,
I regularly use pure jojoba oil as a pre, between passes and after shave with great results, specially as a face calming.
As I am a newbie, I didn't use any other oil for my oily skin. I planned using the 3P cream though, but I think that I will stick to natural products.
Does any of you apply another oil with similar results. Did any of you jump from jojoba to another oil and noticed a positive or negative difference?
Should I use differents oils for pre and after?
Regards.

I also use jojoba pre and post and love it. It only takes a drop or two to coat the skin, it's unscented and not too oily. I put it on a few minutes after my bay rum and still have the faint bay rum scent.
I used to use olive oil for my head and switched to jojoba. Not sure if there was any difference. Only reason I switched was because I had to get the olive oil from the kitchen, and jojoba doesn't leave my hands as slick as olive oil.

Thanked: 3Before or after
I feel tha the jojoba oil makes a better job as a calming lotion. It doesn't mean that it doesn't work as a pre hsave oil. I just wante to keep it for after and knwoing if pre can be improved with any other oil. I am satisfied with jojoba, but I wonder if there is anything better out there.
Regards.

If I've rushed a shave & need something to calm my skin after i use Vitamin E oil. The stuff I've got has a mixture of Soya Bean, Corn, Wheat Germ, Sesame & Lemon Oils. It soothes any irritation almost instantly.

Thanked: 96jojoba is supposed to be extremely close to our skins natural oils. I've used it as a hair conditioner with a good deal of success. I stopped mostly because it didn't keep particularly well, absorbed off odors from the environment over time, and was a bitch to clean up if you didn't get it immediately (made a mess of my shower's floor that required some comet scrubbing to get off). It would certainly be good as a post-shave product for people who suffer from dry skin after shaving.

I've be super lathering with TJ's Vervein-Citron soap and Kiss My Face Moisture Shave. It feel like I get more slip if I add 4 drops of Jojoba oil to the mug before I lather it up. And if I want more a more cooling effect I add a couple of frops of pepermint oil. I gotta say I love the scent of the Vervein-citron soap. Also, if I've go to be some where in a hurry and I need a shave, I'll just use Jojoba and water.
Later,
Paul.

If that's you in your avatar, Paul, you missed a bit round your mouth.

And if I don't miss the bit around my mouth, I'll have to find a new place to sleep. My wife loves the beard and moustache. And I've had it so long I don't know when I started it. I make up for the chin by shaving my head when the weather warms up.
Later,
Paul
