Thread: The Water-Only Pass

How many guys out there make a final pass with water? I have been doing this lately and find that it works really well for some stragglers.

I use cream on each pass. One pass with; one pass across; and one pass against on my neck, jawline, and chin. All three are made with cream. Although I have a heavier beard, I also have sensitive skin. So, the I use cream to add lubricity to each pass so to avoid the burn.

Two passes, first with cream. End of shave. Works great

I do two passes using shaving cream, and for the final touch-up pass I use a mixture of both water and shaving oil. This allows the razor to glide nicely, and when I examine the edge, there is a residue of oil and hair - as opposed to skin and hair!

my touch-up pass I guess you could say is water. I wet my hand and rub it around to keep my face wet and follow with the razor. There is still the residual slick-ness of the cream or soap from my previous pass, if that counts. I wouldn't totally rinse, THEN do a pass hell no HAHA ..................Jeff

I've even suffered water only touch ups without the shave. They're never very bad, but not half as fun as a good shave. It is much easier if the skin is already soft and supple. then the water really is the best thing for a hunt and peck.

I usually only shave with one pass, but I touch-up at the end with water only

I generally use a QEDman shave stick for my final touch up.

I still use the brush to the end!

No brush for me at the end, but still use shaving cream. Touch-up is with a bit of lather straight from the bowl applied with the off hand.
