    Default First Barber Straight Shave!!!!

I got my first straigt shave from a barber today. It was nice and relaxing. The barber is a young guy that owns a Barber/Tattoo shop. It quite a unique place. The shave was 2 passes and then a touch up pass. All 3 began with a hot towl face wrap. The razor was a full sized looking straight that uses disposable blades. The barber was friendly and I would go back again. The shave was a bit costly at $15 but it is the only one in town, and the only for quite some radius from town I am sure. It was worth it. The shave was finished with some Bay rum aftershave and a towl wrapped hand with powder that was nicely applied to the face.

I just told my dad (i'm 23) and he laughed at me and freaked that someone else shaved me. I told him I will take him someday and he laughed. Some people just don't understand.

    Happy Thanksgiving all!

    Default Your First

Your first barber shave is kind of like your first, never mind. It makes you feel like a real man kind of like, never mind. Money is no object just like, never mind.

PS Glad you enjoyed it. It was what put me on the road to str8 shaving.

Rich, if I'm reading between the lines, what you are saying is that you rate a good professional shave right up there with marriage and your first bicycle?

    Default Congrats on your shave!

I usually get one a year. $15 isn't a bad price. My barber does two passes with a touch-up pass, as well. The shave usually lasts about 2, 2 1/2 days before I have to shave again.

I hope you enjoyed your experience!!

    That's too funny!

Yes, we're talking about shaving. I'm not quite sure that's what Rich was talking about, though...LOL
