Thanked: 198dont know about baldy, but i have as of late started with the head, and then moved on to the face, i figure the blade is sharper that way, and man is my sclap hair tough. i have 2 heavier blades that are away getting honed, and when they come back it will help my rotation, just have to watch it more with the heavys, they do the work with less effort, but cut you quicker if you dont pay attention

Thanked: 1587I use two blades every shave - one for the face and one for the head. I always shave my face first, then clean up all the mess and do my head.
Advice for the back of the head? First, learn to know what the correct feel is like - there is no need to use a mirror there unless you really want to (I've never used a mirror for the back of my head, for example). Second, there are probably two main approaches to the whole "close shave on the back of the head" thing. One is to do an Atg pass. The other is to just go wtg but shave more regularly. I do the latter (daily head shave). If your razor is sharp enough, and with practice and good technique, a wtg pass each day keeps the head pretty smooth, I have to say. However, doing an atg pass will of course give you a closer shave in general - the trade-off being added time, and perhaps an increased chance of nicking or cutting yourself during the learning phase.
Good luck!
