    Thanks Lynn!

Should a razor get stuck in growth? Is that normal and a sign to start another stroke?

    Todays shave:
I stropped my Dovo Tortoise about 60 times on leather side. I Used Trumper rose soap and Truefitt & Hill Pre-shave oil. The razor seemed much smoother today compared to my 1st shave with it. Maybe this was because I was playing with angles more today. For the first time ever with a straight, I was actually able to remove a significant amount of hair from my neck.
The problem: First of all, I shaved for about an hour. I have no idea how many passes I did. I just kept relathering ,shaving, feeling stuble, repeat... My face is on fire right now. I was nowhere near smooth ATG when my face burned so much I had to stop, so I got in the shower and finished with my DE.
Next problem: When I cleaned off the Dovo, I noticed that there seems to be a little nick at the toe, about 1 CM from the end. I lightly touched this area to my fingernail and sure enough, it was rough. I just bought this razor and it has only touched my strop and my face, so I have no idea how this happened. I guess I'll have to send it out for rehoning. I sure hope it can be fixed.
