Thanked: 198scalp moisturizer
i have a question for all you head shavers out there. once your done shaveing your scalp, what do you put use to moistureize afterward. i was using a gel call baldguyz, or something like that, but i have noticed that it started to irratate my head afterwards, so i quit. so now i dont use anything, but i want to, any ideas.

Thanked: 53I just use my regular everyday after shave lotion - either Mennen Afta or Gillette gel. Once that dries, if I think about it, I rub in some hand lotion to finish it off.

I use a regular moisturizer with SPF 30. It's important to protect the melon from the sun (or so my doc says) I've spent most of my life working outside and I've seen guys with skin cancer; it's just not worth the risk.

Thanked: 198sailinblues, i have to agree with what your doc says, i actually sunburnt my scalp one year, and that was the most miserable month i ever had, i make sure that i dont do that again, but i work indoors, so that isnt a prob.

Thanked: 213The problem is the Sun you need to protect from it. If Sun is not an issue, Ohio in Feb lol what would do you very well is a good quality hair tonic with oil. It will condition the skin as well as the hair that is always growing and make shaving easier. But do not do this in the sun you will pay.

if you shave your head bare, I'd recommend a toner. Like witch hazel or some other cosmetic astringic toner after the shave and before the moisterizer.

Thanked: 198don, i agree the sun is not an issue currently, ohio in feb is pretty much like wv in feb, so i will keep the tonic with oil in mind, and i ask if you know of any good ones to recomend. johnnycake, i use thayers with lemon, after i shave, and it helps, but i believe a good moistureizer would still be in order, maybe im going to far.
