Thanked: 2@Chimensch
I've seen in your profile that you live also in the North of Italy. Greetings from the northest province of Italy!
Where do you purchase your shaving items? In Italy or outside? And what shop do recommend?
Is the aftershave balm that you use in your video a truefitt&hill or a G. F. Trumpers?

Chimensch: I stumbled upon your video independently of SRP yesterday, and very much enjoyed it. I'm sure most of us would agree that your skill is something to aspire to. I adopted the sponge idea straight away, so thanks, you've probably saved me 30 years of figuring that one out for myself.

Happy 30th. One of the best shaving videos that I've seen. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanked: 271Where exactly do you live? Maybe we could get together sometime. Are you aware that there is also an Italian-language shaving forum: Il Rasoio
The only things that I buy in Italy are Cella, Omega brushes and alum blocks from a local store. Buying stuff from outside the EU is a real pain in the neck in Italy so I only do so when absolutely necessary. If you do order from outside the EU, one trick that really helps get your stuff through customs fast is to have the vendor put your Codice Fiscale and e-mail address on the outside of the package. Whatever you do, don't order soap from outside the EU, it will never make it through customs. As for EU vendors, I have bought razors from Steve Dempster at Dovo Razors UK and Thiers-Issard-UK, from Martin at RasurPur and hones from Dick. The aftershave balm is Truefitt & Hill and it's really good. At Euro 30-35 plus shipping its a bit steep so I just found a local Italian product from Collistar that I like at a local chain store, Pinalli.
I've learned a lot from the shaving forums and I'm really happy that I was able to give something back.
