Default My worst shave with a straight...

is better than my best with an electric.

I ended up involved with a couple of long conversations this morning with my wife and then my eldest, while trying to shave. So, it was hard to really be focused on some of my problem areas, such as the base of my neck (I've been getting pretty good with it). At any rate after I was completely done, I could see visually that I hadn't done my best job on the base of the neck, but was really out of time and didn't want to re-lather, and go over it again. So, I figured that I'd grab my electric and run over it real quick. I guess I've forgotten in the last six weeks how dorky an electric is. As far as it was concerned, there was nothing to shave! I couldn't hear the sound of a single whisker hitting those blades.

I guess its time to just toss that thing.

Electrics are evil, skin chewing lawnmowers for the face. (I am apparently in the mood for hyperbole today).

Just be careful - not a good idea to use a straight razor while distracted. As we all noted in another thread.

I will second that about being distracted. I hated the few times I used an electric, skin was really abused.
