Although I am new to str8 shaving I'm not new to knapping least of all obsidian. Each time I hear; "sharpest substance known to man," "15 times sharper than a razor" etc. I return to another hobby of mine and don the chest waders because It is getting that deep in the room. I'll be the first to say that it is annoyingly sharp when working it, but not sharpest I've encountered. That said I have the utmost respect for a man with that steady of a hand. That is pretty cool.

I'm all for learning primitive skills but I think I'd let my beard grow if I needed to shave with an obsidian shard... Not that I would love to try it

What I was amazed with most was how expert he was at generating blade shards with his antler punch and wood mallet. It seemed effortless to him. Were I to try it bits of obsidian would be flying everywhere embedding into things they shouldn't.

That's pretty cool, have to admit that. Old school, prehistoric, for sure.

Yea this guy's pretty cool.
I watched some of his other videos, which are especially enjoyable because of his random talking
