Oops
OK a show of hands please. Who besides me has accidentally (and might I add very successfully) removed a facial blemish, a.k.a. zit, like I did this morning while shaving? Nice thing about good sharp blades. at least it doesn't hurt. But I wouldn't recommend it as a part of your normal skin care. That flow of bodily fluid down the side on your face and dripping into the sink really complicates the rest of the shave.

Yep!
I've got a mole of my neck that I've caught a few times. And the worst thing is that once you catch it, the darn thing swells up as it heals and you slice it again the next day..!

Thanked: 33Ouch !!-that's unfortunate-but I use a really simple trick - if there is something like a spot or zit on my face I just see where it is and just remove the lather on it with my fingertip before i shave-then shave round it- easy!!
(I'm lucky in that I rarely get them at my age.)

Thanked: 0Ouch...I've done that a couple of times. Most of them are on my upper lip. I now have permanent red spots/scars on my upper lip. Not fun.

Ya, luckily pushin' 60 they're rare. And the worst part of the whole thing, I knew it was there. I kept reminding myself right up to the point of amputation.
Doh!!

Thanked: 3Even at almost 61 I have a problematic skin. And I see blood more often than most I suppose because of that. A doc told me that once you've got a kind of bactery in your blood, it stays there latent waiting to be reactivated. And shaving with a multi-blade razor makes these things come back to life in my case.
So yes, I know what you mean...

Oh, you're not alone bro. Those zits love to lurk under the beard.

Love the reference Otto.
I've always had some facial problems. I keep waiting for puberty to get over (the original Mustang was just coming out as I was going in). I will say though that since I started shaving with a straight my wife has mentioned several times how much clearer and better my skin looks and how much better my color is. Which I hope it will stay that way as long as I don't keep draining out the vital fluids like this morning.
