That is an absolutely awesome link Thank you so much for posting it. I just looked at the first three pages of the book you are referring to before posting this so I need to check it out more, But the site itself is new to me also and I will be visiting it frequently. I have a Mac Not a P.C. and some of the sites similar to this that I have seen weren't compatible.

I like how the book begins:
So much for the cheap 'practice razors' and 'practice strops' that are commonly mentioned among desired gear from guys endeavoring to begin to learn to shave with a straight razorFind me on SRP's official chat in ##srp on Freenode. Link is at top of SRP's homepage

Thanked: 190It was a great read. Although straight shaving is coming back, it appears it has moved forward and progressed well,..honing stones, brushes, straight razors, soaps and cream...etc.

Thanks for that!
Some great straight forward and practical advice in there.
There's a lot to be gained from going back to basics after learning a few bad habits.

Thanked: 1195This book looked familiar to me, and upon further inspection it's actually the same book that kicked off JimmyHAD's popular cold water shaving thread: http://straightrazorpalace.com/shavi...orst-ever.html, which in itself was from a previous thread from LuckyCynic, http://straightrazorpalace.com/begin...made-easy.html
Sorry to be a downer, but I know many of us read the book back in the "cold water shaving craze"Last edited by Ryan82; 05-24-2010 at 06:21 PM.
