I shave my head with clippers every three or four days. I also work at a Hair Salon, so I just use baby powder as a lube and use a hand held mirror in front of a full length mirror.

    No mirror necessary!

seriously.. i don't even want to try it.. there's a new chain of "old school" barbershops around town that charge 4 dollars to shave the back of the neck.. i just go there once a week and have it done..

my usual barber would charge me for an entire haircut.. otherwise i'd stay loyal.

I'm left handed, and with a regular mirror on the wall and a small mirror in my right hand I have no trouble with a straight or a DE.

It's a personal pet-peeve of mine that I rarely discuss because it seems to not bother most people...but I can not stand a hairy neck. I shave that sucker at LEAST twice a week. I've got burned a few times, but will agree that the back of the neck is a whole lot tougher skin than the front we normally shave.

It's easy for me to forget the angle and raise the spine too much...that is usually how I get burned...it's honestly easier to get burned with the DE though.

Getchyaself a lil mirror, watch the angle, and

The only problem is that they can't get it as smooth as I can at home. I make 2 passes. WTG and a Glorious.....drum roll please......ATG with a scything motion. So dang smooth I get extra points from the misses!

Well, I went ahead and gave it a shot. I found it wasn't too difficult.

The skin is very flat there, easy to stretch out, and keeping a light touch wasn't too hard. My angles probably weren't the best, but if anything I errored on the shallow side. Took of loads of fuzz, found I had to rinse with every stroke.

Interestingly, I discovered that letting the water run from spine to edge on the cleaner side pulled all the junk off the razor faster than rinsing spine to edge on the side with all the fuzz and lather. Not sure why this is, but I found it fascinating.
