Ooowww, don't use that terrible word too sharp. When a razor is properly sharp it's just sharp if you overdo it it's damaged not too sharp. Unless of course you guys want to revisit the sharpness debate-I don't either.
I don't think the mishap occurred because of the state of the edge. probably you stretched and stretched and that affected your stroke and that caused the cut.No matter how many men you kill you can't kill your successor-Emperor Nero

That is a battle wound! Wear it with pride!
I do, sincerely, hope it heals quickly and cleanly. I understand the feeling in public-- times I have cut myself I have been tempted to call in sick out of the mortifying idiocy I feel. But then I see someone else I know with a bit of toilet paper stuck in a nick he gave himself with a Mach III, and I realize how much more humiliating his situation is... and he doesn't even realize it!

Know what was most insulting? Not that he recommended a disposable, but that he recommended the cheapest of cheap disposables.
That being said, I showed the wound tonight to the lady I have been dating. She kissed my boo boo better and said scars are sexy.
More women admire a straight with strop, mug, etc than Joe Fusion with a can 'o goop.
