Thanked: 66Darn cactus hairs!
If I could turn my blade upside down to get em I would!...so far I have tried many ways to shave em off and NOTHING works so far..I actually catch myself going with the blades tip at an angle downward towards my adams apple which isn't a safe thing but gets a few hairs..any thoughts or diagrams?..the ONLY way for me to get the hairs that grow to the upper left n right sides of my adams apple area is either DE/SE/Electric shaver..I thought I would also add..4months into str8 shaving...chin valleys are also tough for me to get to there as well...
Frustrated!

Thanked: 66Yer talking DE/SE razors..I used those for 2 years and got sick of going 5 passes with any blade including yellow feathers 2 uses then to the blade box it went and buying blades 4 ever..no more..I think I'll try the 5 degrees str8 razor angle next time..I suffered with some form of razor burn with DE/SE and when sweating a little burn sets in..not anymore with my str8 razors..not to mention ALOT less nicks n cuts using a str8..thnx for yer thoughts though!

Hi,
No reason to get frustrated. It takes a while until you learn to know your straight razors and how to make them shave closely. If you can reach BBS on other areas, then it is just up to your technics, IMHO.
The area around adams apple is difficult, but remember to stretch your skin (until reasonable amount, not too much), keep the blade angle low, and move slowly against the grain. You can almost hear the hair when it cuts off.
Patience is the key. It took about 3-4 months of daily straight shaving until i learned to know when the razor is sharp enough and how to use it on different areas. There is also variations between different grinds and razors and how to use them.
Keep practicing and you will reach your goal some day soon.'That is what i do. I drink and i know things'
