I see a ton of guys logging on to take advantage of the razor give away, and I think that is great. But I was thinking this morning as I was shaving how hard it was to learn how to shave with my first razors. I thought I had sharpened them wonderfully and they would dry shave my arm like nobody’s business. Then with time and continued practice I finally got my razors to cut the dreaded hanging hair.
The shaving got a whole lot easier and better. I think it is important to at least help these guys understand how important a SHARP razor is. We might offer in a more open forum to hone for these guys or make sure they are directed to the honing forums as much as other forums.
I understand the difficulty of learning to hone. I still fight with some of my razors. I also learned on the less important razors in my collection. But I do think it will help guys get a better understanding of what a good shave is and make it easier for them to learn to shave without nicking themselves so much. Thus allowing them to enjoy the straight shave and continue for life.

What do you think?
