If it were me, I would buy a cheap linen strop and put a paste on there to use separately from your normal strop. I am a huge fan of the yellow stone compound to put on my pasted strop. I use it all the time since getting it about three months ago and I love it. It makes an edge very smooth to the skin and adds keeness too, I like it a lot more than Chromium Oxide.
